2010 Winter Camp Schedule

Winter Camps
Note: all camps will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis, IN (Airport Code: IND)
November 20-22, 2009 (all sections audition camp)
December 18-20, 2009 (brass and percussion only)
January 15-17, 2010 (camp ends at 9pm Sun. due to national holiday on Mon.) (brass and percussion only)
February 12-14, 2010 (brass and percussion only)
March 26-28, 2010 (brass and percussion only)
April 23-25, 2010 (all sections)

Full weekend camps begin on Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 6:00 p.m., and end on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.

We ask that when booking flights for camps, that you make every effort to obtain a flight that arrives on Friday night no later than 6:00 p.m., and leaves on Sunday evening no earlier than 6:00 p.m. If you need to book a flight that does not meet these guidelines, please let us know, whether it be a tremendous savings on flight costs, or a school conflict. Please also keep in mind that every minute of camp is essential to the success of the Blue Stars, but we also understand that during the winter season, we need to work with conflicts. Spring Training Move-In
Move in will be on May 21st for spring training. The location will be announced later, but it will be in Indiana (Airport Code: IND).

If a member that is selected for performance is a high school student, they will be excused to attend school to finish classes and exams, although the student is expected to make every attempt to be released early. The Corps Director, Howard Weinstein, will help with this process. In addition, with more than 24 degreed teachers on staff, we are equipped to administer finals, etc... Each situation like this will be handled on an individual basis, based on proximity to the move-in location, and that individual member's ability.
