Brian Blume comes to the Blue Stars in 2007 after aging out of the Glassmen snareline in 2006 following four years with the corps, three as percussion section leader. A senior studying percussion performance at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN Brian has studied with many fine instructors both at Glassmen and at IU, including Tony Cirone, Gerald Carlyss, and Steve Houghton.

Brian has performed with such artists as Emil Richards and Mark Ford and has both instructed and arranged for high school outdoor and indoor percussion programs. This fall is Brian's third fall season as battery tech at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, IN. Brian is highly involved with Campus Crusade for Christ at IU, where he occasionally plays drumset with the band.
