Brian Hanley has been an active participant in the marching percussion community since 2003. At that time Hanley began his drum corps career as a marching member of the Capital Regiment from Columbus, Ohio. Hanley spent the summers of 2004 and 2005 marching with the Bluecoats from Canton, Ohio. From 2006 – 2008, Hanley marched with The Cadets from Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Hanley was a member of the Rhythm X Independent World Percussion Ensemble from 2005 – 2009. Hanley took part in the Rhythm X European Tour of 2007, received the WGI silver medal in 2005 and 2006, and the WGI gold medal in 2008 and 2009.

Hanley is originally from St. Albans, West Virginia. In the spring of 2009 Hanley graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Economics from West Virginia University. During his time at WVU he was an assistant instructor of the West Virginia University Drumline. Currently, Hanley is a new resident of Chicago, Illinois and beginning his first year at the John Marshall Law School.
