Howard was recently the Director of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. Under his leadership, the group became a perennial finalist within the Drum Corps International arena, placing as high as 5th at the 2000 and 2002 DCI World Championships. In addition to his programmatic and administrative duties with the corps, he served as the spiritual leader for the organization, teaching leadership and life skills as well as maintaining the chemistry and culture for the group.

Weinstein has been a music educator for more than twenty years. His symphonic, marching and jazz ensembles were consistently rated at superior levels at both district and state competitions and won numerous grand championships throughout the southeast. Weinstein serves as a national adjudicator and clinician and is in high demand as a consultant to music educators throughout the country. He has spoken at several major universities, and teaches leadership in many music education forums.
