Joel Gardner is currently finishing his double major in Global Supply Chain & Operations Management as well as Finance: Risk Management and Insurance from the University of South Carolina. He has been a member of The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award, marching 2nd bass in 2007 and top bass in 2008.

Joel has taught and consulted with several notable percussive groups throughout the state of South Carolina and is a battery tech with the independent open group Palmetto Percussion. He is a Vic Firth Educational Artist and has been instructed by Tom Aungst, Colin Mcnutt, Steve Kieffer, Sean McElroy and Bobby Marino to name a few.

Joel worked briefly with the Blue Stars bassline in the summer of 2009 and is looking forward to the 2010 season.
