Jeff Gorring

Jeff Gorring currently teaches at Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Texas where he is the assistant band director and also in charge of the marching band and jazz band. Prior to Magnolia, Jeff taught in Fruitport, Michigan for three years teaching all aspects of music education, 6-12. While in Fruitport, his bands recieved continuous state recognition at both the marching and concert levels. In his final year at Fruitport, Jeff's wind ensemble was in the running to perform at the Michigan Music Educators Conference. Before leaving Michigan, Jeff was presented with the "Excellence in Education" award and was a "Who's Who Among American Educators" honoree.

Jeff started his drum corps career with Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. He marched with Southwind 2000-2002, playing contra in 2000 and baritone in 2001 and 2002. He was a member of Southwind's visual staff in 2004 and on the brass staff in 2005. For the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Jeff was on the brass staff with the Santa Clara Vanguard.

Jeff Gorring received his Bachleor's Degree in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University.
