Jesse marched in the Blue Knights for 3 years (2003-2005) (quadline).

This will be his 3rd season as the quad tech at the Blue Stars.

Jesse graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University in 2006, where he studied with Lisa Rogers and Alan Shinn. While at Tech, he performed in many ensembles including the Texas Tech Steel Drum Band "Apocalypso Now." Jesse also had the opportunity to perform at many music conventions across the country including: PASIC (2003, 2005); Texas Music Educators Association Convention (TMEA); California Music Educators Association Convention (CMEA); Louisiana Music Educators Convention,(LMEA). In the fall of 2004 Jesse was the battery instructor for the Texas Tech Drum line.

Since 2002, Jesse taught at many local high schools and middle schools in the West Texas area. He was the percussion instructor and arranger at Lubbock High School (2004-2006) and has served as adjudicator for several all-region band auditions and marching festivals in the area.

Jesse is now pursuing a Master's degree at Indiana University where he is an Associate Instructor in the percussion department. He is the director of the Indiana University Steel Drum Band and teaches several students privately on drum set. He is currently studying marimba with Professor Kevin Bobo.
