Neil Larrivee

Front Ensemble Arranger and Coordinator

2012 will be Neil Larrivee's third season as Front Ensemble Arranger and Coordinator for the Blue Stars. Neil is the former Pit Director and Arranger for the nine time DCI World Champion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Having joined the Cadets staff in 1993, he was part of 4 DCI championships and 4 High Percussion Awards. Other drum corps that Neil has arranged for include; Bluecoats in 1998 & 1999, Northern Star of England in 2006 & 2007 and Jubal of the Netherlands in 2007 & 2008.

Neil served as Co-Marching Band Director, Percussion Director & Arranger at King Philip Regional High School of Wrentham, MA from 1985 - 2002. He was the Director and designer for the 2000 WGI Scholastic World Champion King Philip Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble. King Philip placed second as well in '97, '98 & 2001. The King Philip Concert Percussion Ensemble also placed second during 2001 in the Scholastic Concert World Class.

During his time at King Philip, the Marching Band attained 15 Massachusetts State Marching Band Gold Medals, 8 New England Scholastic Band Association Championships, 10 New England Championship High Percussion Awards, 4 United States Scholastic Band Association Championships, 6 USSBA Championship High Percussion Awards, 2 Bands of America Northeast Regional Championships, 2 BOA Grand National Semi-Finalist placements and the 2000 Grand National AA Bronze medal.

Since 2004, Neil has been the pit arranger for the Dartmouth High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Dartmouth is the 2008 WGI Scholastic World Champions and placed second in 2006 & 2007 while also placing 3rd in 2004 & 2005.

Neil served on the WGI Percussion Advisory Board & Steering Committee from 1997 - 2002. He has been a judge for WGI, NESBA, MICCA & USSBA and endorses Remo, Zildjian and Sibelius Software. Currently, Neil is the Director of Education and Product Development for Vic Firth Co.
