Scott Carr was a member of several drum corps including Bluecoats, Crossmen, Troopers and the Star of Indiana for the 1992 and 1993 season. In 2005 he joined the Phantom Regiment visual staff as a field tech working with baritones, euphoniums and tubas. In 2006 Scott joined the brass staff of the Blue Stars as their tuba tech, eventully earning the role as Assistant Brass Caption Head during the summer of 2006 and all of 2007. Before his drum corps career as an instructor, Scott graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Music education. From 2001 to 2010 Scott has been a band director in Indiana for such schools as Orleans Jr/Sr igh School, Bedford Middle School and Owen Valley High School. Currently Scott is working with the Forest Park Jr/Sr High School Marching Band from Ferdinand Indiana and is actively teaching private lessons in the area. This season will be Scott's 6th season as a member of the Blue Stars brass staff. "I am very excited to be a part of such a wonderful organization as the Blue Stars," says Carr. "The progress the Blue Stars have made over the past six years has been nothing less than incredible and with this collection of talented staff and performers, I know this is only the beginning!" Scott lives in Orleans, Indiana with his wife Jessica and his two children Samuel and Ellie. |
