The Blue Stars have successfully completed its first round of auditions in Indiana, Minnesota, Virginia, Texas, Florida, and California. We are extremely pleased with the turnout and talent, and can't wait to get started working on the 2019 production. The audition process for the Blue Stars continues at our upcoming camps in Southern California (snare, tenors, and front ensemble only) on January 12-13, 2019; and at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (brass and percussion) on January 18-20, 2019.

What's on our New Kitchen Christmas List?
Dec 5, 2018 1:50 PM

After an awesome #GivingTuesday, we've surged past the halfway point in our New Kitchen Campaign. Due to the generosity of our alumni, supporters, and fans, we've ordered the trailer shell, and are putting the final touches on the build engineering plans. But, there is work to be done before we can put a new kitchen on the road.

This Holliday Season, we've put together our New Kitchen Trailer Christmas List. Here you can see the major appliances and components that will go into the build, and have the opportunity to be the donor that sponsors one of these crucial pieces of equipment.

Thank you so much for your continued generosity as we work to make this once-in-a-generation project go from dream to reality.

Kelli Kampschroer-Antoine Elected to Board of Directors
Dec 4, 2018 2:31 PM

On November 16, Blue Stars, Performing Arts for Youth, Inc. held its annual general membership meeting. At the meeting, three individuals were elected to serve 3-year terms on the organization's board of directors. Kelli Kampschroer-Antoine was newly elected to serve a 3-year term. She joins re-elected board members Kevin Hanson and Jennifer Wagner as the board cohort of 2018.

Antoine lives in Kaukauna, WI where she was the Director of elementary education for the Kaukauna School District for 32 years until retiring last year. A life-long supporter and alumnus of the Blue Stars, she marched in the corps' color guard in 1974 and 1976-81, aging out as the guard sergeant. Kelli was part of the team of alumni that started the Blue Star Cadets in 1982, that continued the organization's legacy and grew to the ensemble we know today.

Blue Stars, Performing Arts for Youth, is excited to have Kelli Antoine joining the organization, and look forward to adding another experienced leader to the board of directors.

Sponsor a Kitchen Cube
Sep 1, 2017 7:02 PM

The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps has been on four-year plan to upgrade our entire fleet to meet the current and future needs of the organization. Now it's time to tackle the single largest project we've ever had to manage from a complexity and monetary standpoint: the design and build of a New Kitchen Trailer. The new trailer will have 5,000 cubic feet of space inside: Will you help us realize our dream of a new trailer by sponsoring a Kitchen Cube - 1 cubic foot inside the trailer?
