Gavin Named Blue Stars Corps Director, Weinstein Continues as Consultant Apr 5, 2012 1:52 PM
Dr. Russell Gavin has been named corps director for the Blue Stars, effective immediately. Dr. Gavin takes over the position from Howard Weinstein, who has made the decision to return to the real estate profession and his home in Florida. Weinstein and Gavin are working together with Executive Director Brad Furlano to ensure a smooth transition for the entire organization, and Weinstein will continue his association with the Blue Stars as a consultant and advisor.

The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the return of Michael Shapiro to lead its very successful color guard program for the upcoming season. Shapiro is back for his fifth season as Caption Head, Choreographer and Designer for the Blue Stars color guard, building upon the incredible success of his previous seasons with the corps.
Stewart and Rosander to Lead Blue Stars 2012 Visual Program Aug 29, 2011 10:09 AM
The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce Ralph Stewart as Visual Caption Head and Myron Rosander as Drill Designer for the 2012 season. Stewart has been assisting the Blue Stars' visual caption as a consultant over the past few seasons, and was an easy selection to take over the caption based on his work during that time. Rosander, while new to the Blue Stars, is a well known designer in the drum corps and marching band activities, having designed for and instructed for some of the best ensembles in the world over the past three-plus decades.
Santino, Mohney to Lead Blue Stars 2012 Brass Program Oct 6, 2011 2:51 PM
The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce Tom Santino as Brass Supervisor and Ryan Mohney as Brass Caption Head for the 2012 season. Tom Santino is no stranger to the drum corps activity, instructing some of the top brass lines in the activity over the past 20 plus seasons, and he will take an active role in managing the Blue Stars brass program in 2012. Ryan Mohney is being promoted to brass caption head after his knowledge, enthusiasm and exceptional instructional abilities were clearly demonstrated as the corps' 2011 trumpet instructor.

The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce Frank Sullivan as Brass Arranger for the upcoming season. The 2012 season will be Sullivan's seventh as the brass arranger and composer for the Blue Stars.

The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the return of Tom Aungst as percussion caption head and arranger and Neil Larrivee as front ensemble coordinator and arranger for the upcoming season. The 2012 season will be their the third year as designers and fourth year as percussion caption leaders with the Blue Stars.
